BUFA Collective Bargaining 2026

BUFA’s current Collective Agreement expires on June 30, 2026. In preparation for upcoming bargaining toward a new agreement, the BUFA Negotiating Team developed a mandate informed by the results of a member-wide survey that was circulated in November 2025, and nearly 40 unit-level and thematic meetings held with members throughout the fall term. The mandate was also informed by the clear trends and problems arising since the last round of bargaining.

The mandate was unanimously recommended to the membership by the Executive Committee in December and unanimously approved by the membership at the Special General Membership Meeting held in January 2026. To learn more about some of our bargaining priorities, click the links bellow.
