2026 Bargaining Mandate – Better Spending

Over the past few years, Senior Administrative salaries at Brock University have seen unrelenting growth, with raises as high as 30% in some cases. Faculty salaries have not experienced nearly the same rate of growth. And compared to the enormous growth in the number of Senior Administrative positions, faculty complement has flatlined. Meanwhile, the Senior Administration continues their restructuring and layoffs of staff, which has likely only just begun. Faculty have experienced decreasing levels of pedagogical supports, and insufficient support staff to help with aging technologies. Every budget is a choice. We know that at Brock, we can choose a better path forward. One that prioritizes research and learning and not Senior Administration salaries.
